Due to the recent events in NYC with the COVID-19 outbreak, there will be no In-Person meeting. Wendy's Doula Services is offering Online Classes to practice social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus.
When bringing home your newborn, it can be stressful as new parents. As the routines you were familiar with before has now completely changed. The biggest task now is caring for your new baby.
Wendy's Doula Services offers private classes in the comfort of your home. This is a hands-on class in which you will practice with a realistic doll. You will learn about the basic care of:
Online Newborn Care 101 - $250
- 2 hours in Zoom Meeting
- Access to Resources Page
- How to carry/burp baby
- Swaddling
- Learn different milestones
- Baby behaviors such as: feeding cues, overstimulated, sickness, colicky, cries
- Sponge/Submerge baths
- Changing diapers, use of diaper creams
- Bonding with baby
- Safe Sleep
- Baby Hygiene such as: Trimming Nails, cleaning ears
- Caring for a sick baby
- Preparing your pets for new baby (Optional)
- How to properly set up a infant car seat
- Help to make suggestions on how to organize baby's room such as clothes and necessities (Optional)
After this class, you will feel more confident in caring for your newborn before baby's arrival!
